What Core watches

Core checks every device you add, from every site, on a schedule you choose (every minute by default):

• Is it up? Ping, TCP ports and full website checks, with response time, status codes, page content and certificate expiry.
• Is it healthy? SNMP for CPU, memory, disk, temperature, interface status and errors on routers, switches, firewalls, printers and UPSs.
• Is it answering properly? DNS lookups, SSH logins, time servers (NTP offset and stratum) and traceroutes when something gets slow.

Devices are grouped into sites. Each site has a collector, the Uplivra program running on any always-on computer there, which does the checking and reports to your server over encrypted HTTPS. Two collectors at one site back each other up: if the active one goes quiet, the standby takes over within about three minutes.

Alerts people act on

An alert says what happened in plain words, like "Interface Down: Gi0/0/2 (uplink to ISP-B)", not an error code. It goes where your team already is: email, Microsoft Teams, Slack or any webhook, with escalation if nobody responds.

• "I'm on it" tells everyone who's handling it, and the person gets a "fixed" message when it recovers.
• Maintenance windows, one-off or repeating, keep planned work quiet.
• Alert rules set thresholds per device, site or kind, and how many failures in a row count as a problem.

Dashboards, wall screens and status pages

The Overview shows total, healthy, warning and critical devices, network health over the last 24 hours, and the top alerts. Put the wall screen on a TV in the office. Publish status pages so staff or customers can see what's working without signing in.

Reports and records

Availability reports show every device's uptime against your target for any month, with planned maintenance left out, and export to CSV. The audit log records every change and who made it. Discovery scans a network range and lists what it found so you can add devices in one click.

Pricing

Free for up to 15 devices. Above that, Core is priced per device per month on a sliding scale: $2.00 for the first 50 devices, then $1.75, $1.50 and $1.25, and $1.00 for every device past 200. Minimum $25 a month. Pay yearly and save 15%. See pricing.
